Terminal Facilities and Services Corporation (TEFASCO)

TEFASCO (Terminal Facilities and Services Corporation) is a private commercial and common user port facility located in Barangay Ilang, Davao City, Philippines. Established in November 1977, the company was created to alleviate berth congestion at the city's Sasa port during a period of high lumber and agricultural product exports. Strategically positioned on Davao City's north side, the port is approximately 30 minutes from downtown. TEFASCO operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, closing only on New Year's Day, Good Friday, and Christmas Day. The company's mission focuses on providing berthing space for cargo vessels and supplying essential cargo handling services. TEFASCO has achieved significant milestones including becoming Mindanao's largest cement discharging port, handling approximately 20,000 tons of cement monthly from Vietnam to support regional infrastructure development. The company was also the first in Davao City to perform bulk fertilizer bagging and transshipment to other countries, and the first to own and operate a ship-to-shore crane in the area. Additionally, TEFASCO maintains warehouses across from the wharf through ILAECO for efficient storage logistics.
