About Integrated School For Young Children
ISYC (Integrated School For Young Children) is an early childhood education institution founded in 1999 by teachers Michelle Marie Castillo Aprecio and Leah Emma C. Buenviaje-Miguel. The school officially began operations in June 2001 with 18 students and three teachers. It received government recognition from the Department of Education in July 2003 with certificate number P-022. In 2010, ISYC relocated to its current location at Lot 5 Block 4, Gil Fernando Avenue, Sto. Niño, Marikina City. The school's philosophy centers on learning through play, experience, and social interaction, aiming to foster a lifelong love for learning. ISYC focuses on holistic child development, addressing physical, cognitive, creative, social, and emotional growth through an integrated curriculum. The school emphasizes cooperative learning and maintains strong partnerships with families, viewing parents as primary influences in children's development. ISYC offers programs for toddlers (1.10 to 2.9 years), juniors (2.10 to 3.9 years), seniors (3.10 to 4.9 years), and kindergarteners (4.10 to 5.11 years), maintaining low teacher-to-student ratios ranging from 1:5 to 1:6. Activities include reading, cross-cultural media exposure, math and science concepts through play, and community field trips to enhance social awareness. The staff consists of experienced early childhood education professionals who serve as facilitators and resources for both children and parents.
