Davao Medical School Foundation, Inc. (DMSFI) is a leading medical education institution in the Philippines, established in the early 1970s by a consortium of Davao doctors, educators, and religious organizations. Founded as the first medical school in Mindanao, it aims to serve the region through health science education. Over more than 40 years, DMSFI has grown into one of the nation's top-performing and globally competitive medical schools. It offers a range of academic programs including the College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Nursing, College of Biology, College of Midwifery, and Postgraduate Studies. The institution also operates the DMSFI Hospital, a 100-bed capacity tertiary care facility with 60 private rooms, 24 ward beds, and two suite rooms, designed to provide quality healthcare while supporting medical education. Additionally, DMSFI runs the Institute of Primary Health Care (IPHC), a non-profit community service arm established in 1978 that focuses on primary health care training and sustainable livelihood projects in over 300 villages across Regions XI, XII, Caraga, and ARMM. The school emphasizes values such as faith, integrity, respect, excellence, and community health, with recent activities including a blood donation drive for its 50th anniversary and announcements about tuition adjustments and admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year.
