The Mindanao State University (MSU) Main Campus in Marawi City is a comprehensive public university established in 1961 under Republic Act 1387. Founded by Senator Domocao A. Alonto, with Dr. Antonio Isidro as its first president, the university began operations in 1962 with 282 students and 19 faculty members. It serves as the flagship campus of the MSU System, which includes multiple campuses across the Philippines.
