About Alisto builders corp.
Abejo Waters Corporation (AWC) is a bulk water supply company founded in 1999, originally as Abejo Builders Corporation, which initially focused on hauling filling materials. The company diversified into mining and export activities in 2002 and entered the water supply sector in 2003 by becoming a bulk potable water supplier for the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD). In 2011, it was renamed Abejo Waters Corporation. AWC specializes in supplying and distributing potable water, developing water sources, designing efficient water systems, and constructing transmission and distribution lines. It started with a minimum supply of 4 million liters per day (MLD) to MCWD and has grown significantly, now supplying 35 MLD through a joint venture with MCWD to augment water for Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-lapu, Consolacion, and Talisay, holding about a 15% market share in Metro Cebu. Additionally, AWC has contracts with Local Government Units and other Water Districts outside Metro Cebu for 12 MLD. The company is led by President and CEO Gabino 'Borgy' Matugas-Abejo Jr., who has received awards such as '2010 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Philippines' and '2014 Inspiring Young Entrepreneur of the Year.' AWC's mission is to provide safe, sustainable water to underserved communities in the Philippines to improve livelihoods and foster development, with a vision to be a leading potable water supplier in rural areas, targeting 500 million in annual revenues within five years.
