Viking Cold Storage Mahayag

Viking Cold Storage Davao is a modern cold storage facility located in Davao City, Philippines, described as the most beautiful, cleanest, and most modern cold storage in the country. The facility is situated along Mahayag Road in Bunawan, Davao City, with Phase-1 completed in December 2023 on a one-hectare portion of a 2.4-hectare property, leaving 1.4 hectares available for future expansion. Its strategic location near the airport and seaport, approximately 20 kilometers from downtown Davao, makes it ideal for cold storage needs. Phase-1 features a total storage capacity of 5,780 pallet positions using push-back racking, divided into eight flexible freezer/chiller rooms. The facility includes 8-inch thick PIR fire-retardant insulation along perimeter walls for independent temperature sustainability in each room. It is equipped with two 10-metric ton super-fast high-capacity blast freezers capable of reducing the temperature of 20 tons of dressed chicken to -18°C in under five hours. Additional features include 16 loading docks with dock levelers and shelters, an ethylene glycol refrigeration system linked to SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), a temperature-controlled loading bay and service area, a 100% standby generator (1-megawatt), and adequate lithium-ion material handling equipment. The company employs well-trained, happy, dedicated staff and warehouse service personnel. Viking Cold Storage has been granted BOI registration by the Board of Investment and the Davao City Investment Promotion Center.
