About Philippine Christian Gospel School (宿務建基中學)
Philippine Christian Gospel School (PCGS), also known as Kian Kee, is a Filipino-Chinese educational institution located in Cebu City, Philippines. Founded through the merger of Kian Kee and Cebu Institute in 1964, the school operates on an 8,321 square meter campus at the heart of Cebu City. PCGS is a Christ-centered institution established by members of the Cebu Gospel Church, with a mission to provide holistic quality education based on Christian teachings. The school serves students from preschool through senior high school, with specific developmental programs for each educational level: preschool focuses on developing G.R.E.A.T. kids, elementary aims for S.U.P.E.R.B. students, junior high school targets T.E.R.R.I.F.I.C. students, and senior high school develops S.M.A.R.T. students. The school's vision emphasizes developing students who excel in character and wisdom, seek favor with God and all peoples, and serve humanity for God's glory. PCGS maintains a strong Christian identity while providing Chinese-Filipino education, with regular spiritual content like 'Soul Talk' blog posts addressing contemporary issues from a Christian perspective. The school has demonstrated resilience through various challenges including natural disasters like earthquakes and typhoons that have affected the Cebu region.
