About Gideon Academy
Gideon Academy is a Christian educational institution founded in 1984 by the United Evangelical Church Pasay (UECPasay), primarily serving children of Chinese-Filipino descent. The school offers preschool, elementary, and secondary education with a mission to provide holistic, God-centered learning. Its educational philosophy emphasizes developing students spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially through Bible-based teachings, aiming to cultivate well-rounded individuals who understand their purpose in life. Starting with just 18 nursery students using church facilities, the academy expanded over the years, completing its elementary curriculum by 1992 and secondary by 1996. Currently, it operates from a three-phase building with modern facilities including an indoor gym, social hall, playroom, library, computer lab, science laboratories for both high school and elementary levels, and classrooms equipped with projectors. The institution is professionally managed by a Christian Board of Trustees and Administrators, focusing on integrity and progressive educational approaches. Its objectives include fostering spiritual growth, academic excellence, cultural appreciation (both Filipino and Chinese heritage), and character development to prepare students for college and lifelong learning.
