Dr. Lynne Lourdes Lucena is a highly accomplished neurosurgeon and poet based in the Philippines. She is a Diplomate of the Philippine Board of Neurological Surgeons and a Fellow of both the Academy of Filipino Neurosurgeons and the Philippine College of Surgeons. Dr. Lucena holds significant leadership roles, including President of the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital Faculty and Alumni of the Neurosciences (UPFANS) since 2021 and Chair of the Neurotrauma Committee for the Asian-Australasian Society of Neurological Surgeons from 2023. Her professional focus includes neurotrauma management, women in neurosurgery, and advancing neurosurgical practices, particularly in resource-limited settings. She has been an invited speaker at international conferences such as AANS 2023 and EANS webinars, and her published research includes a survey on the impact of WHO's 2021 brain tumor classification in Africo-Asian regions. In 2025, she received The Outstanding Filipino Award (TOFIL).
