Bob Hughes Christian Academy is a Christian educational institution located in Cebu City, Philippines, operating as one of the Educational Ministries of Bible Baptist Church - Katipunan. Founded as a tribute to missionary Rev. Bob Hughes, who established Bible Baptist Church in Cebu City in 1957, the academy emphasizes character development through biblical principles. The school's educational approach centers on instilling God's Word, principles, and precepts into students, with a curriculum that incorporates over 90 character traits and more than 100 memory verses annually. Administrators Curt and Arli Motsinger lead the faculty and staff in striving for excellence across all aspects of the educational experience while maintaining commitment to the institution's founding mission, vision, and core values. The academy utilizes the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) individualized learning curriculum through its accreditation with School of Tomorrow Philippines. Currently, the institution is developing an online portal to facilitate student enrollment, academic progress tracking, billing management, and other administrative functions to better serve families. The school year typically begins in late August, with the 2020 academic year starting on August 24.
